App Store QR Code Generator

Send people to your app listing on the App Store or Google Play.

Your data is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers.
QR codes created with this tool are static. Once generated, their encoded content cannot be changed.

What this tool makes

A QR code that opens your app's listing on the Apple App Store or Google Play. Paste the store URL, and the tool checks the link really is on the store you picked before generating — a small check that catches the most common mistake, pasting the iOS link into the Android field.

The honest limitation of a static code

A static QR code holds exactly one URL and cannot detect which phone is scanning it. Services that "send iOS users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play" do it with a server-side redirect, which means a link that can break, expire or be repointed. If you need one code for both platforms, point it at a short download page on your own site that offers both store buttons. You keep control, and the code never expires.

Finding your store link

On the App Store, open your app's page in a browser and copy the apps.apple.com URL. On Google Play, copy the play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=… URL. Strip any campaign parameters you do not need — shorter links make simpler, easier-to-scan codes.

Where these codes work well

Packaging, in-store signage, event stands, printed manuals, receipts and vehicle livery — anywhere a person has your product in hand and their phone in the other. Add a short instruction next to the code ("Scan to get the app") using the frame option in the Design step.

Design tips

Store listing URLs are fairly long, so the code will have a few hundred modules. Keep the quiet zone at 4, print at 25 mm or larger, and use error-correction level Q if you plan to place a logo. Run Verify scan before sending artwork to print.

Limitations

If your app moves, is renamed or is removed, the printed code becomes a dead link. Storefront URLs also carry a country code (/us/), which most stores redirect for other regions — test from a device outside your country if that matters.

Frequently asked questions

Can one QR code serve both iOS and Android?

Not on its own. A static code holds one URL. Point it at a download page you control that shows both store buttons — that keeps the code permanent and the routing in your hands.

Why was my link rejected?

The tool checks the domain matches the store you chose. Pick "Other" if you are deliberately linking somewhere else, such as your own download page.

Should I use a shortened link to make a smaller code?

You can, but a shortener puts a third party between your code and your app, and the code stops working if that service does. A slightly denser code is usually the better trade.

Can I add my app icon to the middle?

Yes — use the Design step to upload it. Error correction is raised to H automatically, and the scan check warns you if the logo grows too large.
