What this tool makes

A QR code that opens your profile on Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, GitHub or Threads. Type your handle and the correct profile URL is built for you; paste a full link and it is used as-is.

Handles versus full URLs

Each platform has its own profile URL shape — YouTube uses @handle, LinkedIn separates people (/in/) from companies (/company/), and TikTok prefixes handles with an @. Picking the platform and typing the bare handle avoids all of that. If your profile lives at an unusual URL, choose "Other" and paste the whole address.

One code, or one per platform?

A static code carries one destination, so if you want a single code covering several networks, link it to a page that lists them — your website's contact page works, and it is free. Otherwise print one small code per network, which is often clearer on a shop window or a business card anyway.

Design that fits a brand

The Design step supports a gradient fill, custom finder-pattern shapes and a call-to-action frame such as "FOLLOW US". Keep the contrast high: brand colours look good on screen but a mid-tone code on a mid-tone background is the single most common reason a printed code fails. The scan check flags it before you download.

Privacy

Your handle is turned into a URL in your browser. We never look up the profile, never confirm it exists, and never see it. Check the encoded data box before printing so you know exactly what the code contains.

Limitations

If you change your handle, the printed code breaks — platforms rarely redirect old profile URLs. Business cards you plan to reprint often are fine; etched signage is riskier.

Frequently asked questions

Does the code open the app or the browser?

Most phones open the app when it is installed and fall back to the mobile website when it is not. That behaviour is decided by the phone, not the code.

Can I put several profiles in one QR code?

A QR code holds one link. Point it at a page that lists all your profiles — your own site is the most durable option.

Is my handle sent anywhere?

No. The profile URL is assembled in your browser and the code is drawn locally.

My platform is not listed. What now?

Choose "Other (paste a full URL)" and paste the profile address. Any https link works.
