Scan History
Review and export scans saved on this device only.
What this page is
A list of the codes you have scanned on this device — if, and only if, you have switched recording on. History is off until you turn it on, and everything lives in this browser's local storage. There is no account and no server copy, so nothing here can be seen by us or anyone else.
What gets stored, and what never does
Each entry keeps the decoded value, the symbology, whether it came from the camera or an image, and the time. Wi-Fi passwords are stripped out before an entry is written, because a scan history is exactly the wrong place to keep one — you will see the entry marked when that happens. The list is capped at 100 entries, oldest dropping off the end.
Managing it
Filter by value or type, copy an entry, delete one, or clear the lot. Switching recording off also deletes everything already stored, so the switch is a real off switch rather than a pause. Export to CSV if you want the data somewhere else — the file is generated in your browser and downloaded straight to your device.
Where it disappears
Local storage is per-browser and per-device. Clearing site data, using private browsing, or switching to another browser or phone means an empty history. That is a deliberate consequence of not having a server, not a bug.
Related tools
Turn recording on from either the QR code scanner or the barcode scanner. For checking whether a scanned product number is well-formed, paste it into the barcode validator.
Frequently asked questions
Is my scan history uploaded?
No. It is stored in this browser only. There is no account, no sync and no server copy.
Why is history off by default?
Because storing what you scan should be a decision you make, not one made for you. Plenty of scans are things you would not want written to disk.
Are Wi-Fi passwords saved?
No. The password field of a Wi-Fi payload is removed before an entry is stored, and the entry is marked to show it happened.
How do I get rid of everything?
Press Clear history, or switch recording off — both delete every stored entry immediately.
